What can I get away with??!!

I recently bought a DCB F-26. I've always been a huge DCB fan, but this one just needs to go faster. The deal was right so I had to snag it up but the 496HO isn't going to cut it for me, not even close. Coming from a Mach22 with 2.5 Drag Motors, I need some MPH love here. The boat has a Bravo XR on it and I am curious as to some opinions as to what motors I can get away with. I have had several people tell me to throw some mods on the 496, but I am leaning more towards a boostpower 600 motor, or a Merc 600 SCI. I would love to throw a big HP motor into it and swap the drive out, but that isn't in the deck of cards right now.

Any ideas?

496 is not my favorite either. You could put a cam and blower on it. Should make a easy 650 hp on pump gas

Thanks for considering our power. The food news is that our 600,625 and 675 all have the same bottom end is our 800. With that said, you could start out mellow the simply add the charger and Intercooler, swap the program and walla! The 26 is a great boat. We trade in motors all the time especially 496's. Good Day

Thanks for the reply. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am a huge fan of the normally aspirated 600 motor that you guys have. And now that I know down the road I could still add on the supercharger that makes it all the better. Let's discuss some options that we can work out.
My 496HO has just a hair over 100 hours on it and operates flawlessly. Lets discuss possible trades onto your Boostpower 600 with installation.

Any time, we have a great outlet to sell your trade in motor. We also love those simple motors. We like them so much we developed an 800 cubic inch version of it that is over 1000hp.

Depending on how it's dressed, around 35k. Trade is 5-8k
