Lightbulb Bass in a Howard 28 Bullet

no...not the fish . The owner of this Howard wants ALOT of bass and this is one of the harder boats to find extra space in so im replacing the rear under seat storage with a bandpass box for 4 12's.

More pics later if anyone is interested.

Be careful, I onced recommended a band pass box on another boating site and was flamed for it. Most people said to make sure to add a plexi panel so I could watch the woofers smoke.

    Looks good!

I once built a sealed box down firing with a slanted slot in that same area for 4 12" subs and it pounded. I want someone else to ask me to do something like that again.

Good luck and let us all see the finished project.

Most of these pics are just "test fitting" as i go. When its finished, the entire box will be covered in fiberglass resin inside and out, it will be covered in white vinyl, the top will be 3/4" plexi, and it will have blue LED's lighting the subs up.

Ended up going a different direction with the ports. I couldnt get the 6" pvc to fit like i wanted so i switched to MDF. Just have to make some trim panels now to cover the old 6 1/2" holes and dress up the new ports.

Also added 2 more Odyssey 1500's.

What Hz did you tune the box to?

What amount of power are the subs getting?
