Can I do this?

Now that I have your attention, I need a little help. 1998 27ft Ultimate Warlock v bottom. I have installed 8 Polk Audio DB650 6.5 coaxial speakers throughout the boat. I have an Alpine MRVF340 4 channel amp. I would like to not have to buy another 4 channel amp so can I hook my 8 speakers into the 4 channel amp some way without hurting either component?

I also have an Alpine amp MRD M500 mono that I am going to use to power a set of subs. Nothing fancy just some needed bass. A couple of 10's maybe 12's. What would work well for this?

Im not looking for a competition quality just some decent sound on the water.

Yeah But I paid 180.00 for both of these and I still need to get the subs. What I am really asking is calculations. If I hook the speakers in series what will the amp see or if I hook it in parallel what does the amp see. It is 2 ohm stable and the RMS wattage looks close, I just need the formula.

IMHO
series=8ohm (perferred) run cooler less power but should be fine
parallel=2ohm amp will get hotter put out more power not worth it

because ur speakers are coaxial u can make one set of wires feed two speakers.. U will also improve the sounds quality.. pos from the amp goes to one speaker.. Neg from the amp goes to the other.. Then u take a wire and connect the remaining pos and neg from the speakers together.. this puts them in series and lowers the oms.. improving sounds quality.. Now ur 8 speakers only use 4 wires which will hook right up to ur amp..
