    Default My new Old School system

    I bought a cherry 1987 21 Eliminator.Going to put an Old School system in it.So far I have:

    (2)Orion HCCA 250r amps(1998)
    (1) Alpine 9886 head unit(2009)
    (4)Polk Audio MM651 6.5 2 ways(2.7ohms ea)(2009)
    (1)Kicker box with dual DS12L5(2009)

    Here the amps(MADE IN THE USA)

    Best part of the whole system is those orion amps. I used to have the 225's

    Yep.I've had a 425 and 225 HCCAs.My mini truck days.I got them on EBAY last week.I also bought a brand new Orion XTR 400.4.Guy works at Orion.Has new old stock.

    That's awesome man! I got rid of my harley truck 6 months ago and bought a 92 5.0l mustang gt with a ford 302" crate motor and 5 speed conversion. I have been seriously considering buying older amps and subs to do a retro system. Don't know why but it just seems really cool to me. Lol.

    Its true Old School is cool.You can get some nice stuff on Ebay.

    Nice system, let us know how the Polk's work out. I've always been an MB Quart fan, but they aren't what they used to be.

    I have the the other model Polks in my UTV and they sound awsome.I bought this model for the 2.7 ohm rating.My ORIONs are .5 ohm stable in stereo.

    Yes, they are. Had a 2100 once, never should have gotten rid of it....
