I don't know if you can beat Orion for "bang for the buck".

The HCCA-D2400 will put out a true minimum of 800x1 at 2ohms. I would assume you are running at 2ohms to keep the amp(s) cool. It can be had for around $300.

The HCCA-D5000 will put out 1600X1 at 2 ohms. Can be had for $610.

Do you have 10W6's or 10W6v2's? and how many do you have?

At 13.8vdc, not a normal voltage for a boat that's parked. Not a bad amp, just not the right application for it. I'd recommend an Alpine PDX 1.1000. The w6's are power hungry buggers.

The Alpine boat has 3 Alpine PDX 1.1000. one to each pair of Type R Subs. We also ran an Alpine PDX 1.1000 to a pair of Type R 12s in my buddies jet boat. It can play all day long at 3/4 volume on one battery. Very efficient amplifiers!! Don't drop them below 2 ohms though.

x3 for the Alpine PDX 1.1000 Very efficient and they can handle the heat with out shutting down. PM if interested and I can put you in contact with our Alpine hook-up.

Those are dual 4 ohm subs and have an rms of 600 watts so you need to find an amp that does anywhere from 800 to 1200 watts at 1 ohm mono. They can also be configured to produce a 4 ohm load which would be ideal for the Alpine PDX-1.1000 thats been mentioned. There are also MANY other amp choices out there with equal quality thats a little lower priced.

Your MRD-M605 is only rated for 400X1 at 4 ohm mono so adding more power will make a big difference in your boat but dont forget that also means alot more current draw and less play time without adding more battery power.
