How long will these berkeley castings last?

I have a 18' jet from 1976 with a berk pump. The motor and pump are both rebuilt and tight and the hull is solid. The berk castings still look good but I gotta wonder is the aluminum metal fatigued or not.My hp is 400 roughly so I'm not stressing anything.Anyone got any info on this? Thanks.

Well that is a GREAT question 464jet!!

All the Berkeley castings are 356T aluminum, the T is for heat treated, this is the best type of casting you can buy. After machining the parts are hard coated to military spec's , that why the cast last so long its all in the prep work and the quality of aluminum being used. 34 years in service and still good shape, not bad.
