Is a JA Bowl the same thing as a JG? Is there any advantage to running a JA over a JC?

I run a JA bowl...the only difference I see are the exit vanes are shorter than a JG and the oil cavity plugs are on the top vs the sides on a JG....performance wise I dunno....better than a JC as it is a split bowl.

Yes the bowl is the same. 12JA is the older 12JG pump. The bowl you have should be a 2 piece bowl so you have the advantage of running a droop snoot, wedge etc. A JC bowl you would be unable to do this.

    Hope that helps!
