1987 SilverWing V-Drive. This immaculate, extremely well built light layup hull was originally put together for water ski racing in Southern California. This SilverWing has an interesting history; I am the fourth owner and have owned the boat for seven years. It is setup for recreational cruising and is really easy and fun to drive, especially if you are used to a stern drive. The boat has been meticulously maintained with the best parts and fluids available. It starts and idles in a very docile manner yet still able to easily exceed 80 mph. I think 100 mph is possible with minimal setup changes.

Trailer was redone about five years ago by VIP Trailers in Chandler Arizona.
The interior was replaced two years ago with a contemporary red, blue, grey and white custom designed interior. We based the design off current custom built boats but left in the hot rod look.
SilverWing is currently being built by Jim Wilkes at Wilkes Marine in Santa Ana, CA. He used to write the v-drive column for Hot Boat Magazine.
This boat makes Schiada V-drives look overpriced.
