    Default 1979 Pioneer Jet boat

    This is available with or without motor. Motor is .100 over 454, forged pistons, roller rockets, 7/16" GM Rods, billet crank (machine shop could not identify the manufacturer), GM Square port heads, big hydraulic cam, CSU prepped 850 Holley with custom front mounted turbo and dual turbonetics wastegates. Berkley jet with droop and manual place divertor. New carpet, new seats, new gages, polished gas tanks, dual axle trailer with new tires and swing away hitch. Currently has motor in boat and is running. Will pull motor when I get a deposit on the boat.
    $3300 w/out motor or $8700 complete turn key. Will trade for jeep CJ or Wrangler of equal value or maybe a SXS trade. I've edited this post a couple times with different info, so please read the short thread and the info may be in here. Thanks.

    What make/brand are the crank, pistons, rocker arms, and turbo?

    What connecting rods are in the engine?

    What is the compression ratio?

    Do you happen to have the part# of the cam?

    I see the valve covers have the merCruiser logo on them, any history behind this?

    What impeller is in the pump & what is the max rpm?

    Do you have the dyno sheet (not the graph) available to post?

    And lastly...Is the exhaust stainless steel or mild steel?

I took the engine apart and to an engine shop to have it checked out. Crank is an aftermarket 4340 crank but no ID markings the machinest could identify it by. The pistons are forged flat tops with one valve relief. Rocker arms are Crane 1.7 and the turbo is a Garrett TV8101. Everything looked good at the machine shop so I put Clevite H-bearings back in it and called it a day. I have pix of the crank, bottom end, deck surface, etc.

    What connecting rods are in the engine? 7/16" GM

    What is the compression ratio?

    Do you happen to have the part# of the cam? Comp hyd 284/305 adv, 240/253 @ .050, .575/.595 lift, 113 lobe sep, 108 intake centerline

    What impeller is in the pump & what is the max rpm? Not sure of the impeller size and haven't/won't got WOT on it. The impeller is aluminum and WOT should break it. It will need bronze or stainless.

    And lastly...Is the exhaust stainless steel or mild steel? Exhaust is ceramic coated mild steel and is a dry exhaust, NOT wet. It also has a wideband sensor with the gage up front.

    I usually go to Saguaro or Canyon....however the boat has only been putted around 3 or 4 times, so you probably haven't seen it......but it looks great sitting in the garage.....if I could only fit it in my living room.
