Default 1985 Eliminator 21' Mojave - REDUCED AGAIN!

This boat is all original with only 255 hours. It still has the original upholstery, gel coat, cover etc. The boat has always been stored indoors and has been in the family for over twenty years with me being the owner for 13 years. This is the perfect family cruiser. New bimini top just custom made, Sony CD player with MB Quartz marine speakers, Berkeley JG pump with an A impeller. Competitive tandem axle trailer with electric brakes, good tires, bearing buddies and tongue jack. I am selling the boat with no motor but it is set up for a BBC and the motor mounts go with it. Boat is located in Boise, Idaho. 208-573-9969 - Not many of these old boats left out there and even fewer in this condition! This was the brochure boat for Eliminator back in 1985. Now only $4,500

Hows the floor? Is the interior still viable, it looks ok in the pics but it also looks like it's borderline. It also appears the deck is in need of a color sanding and may be beyond that. Do you have any info on where the gel's at, any maintenance that may have been done?
Would the exh logs and mounts go with the boat?

Did it have an electric fuel pump?

The floor is solid with no soft spots that I am aware of and the interior is all original from 1985 so it shows some sun fading but is still very flexible with no tears or bad spots. As for the deck - it does have some mild oxidation and could use a color sand or possibly a good buff but I think it is still in great shape for the age of the boat. The boat originally came with a mechanical fuel pump but I switched it over to a blue Holley years ago and the pump and regulator are both mounted on the inside of the dog house. I was going to take them out but if someone wanted them I could leave everything in place. Mounts go with the boat.

Would this boat be more appealing with a motor in it? I could put one in if someone would be more interested with a turn key setup. I was just hoping to save myself some work and thought someone might want to throw their own engine in. Thoughts?

Well, since we're just kicking things around here...........

I think it might be priced a little high. Since I've been laid up the past 5 months my late nite routine includes scouring Craigslist across the country. I'm a classic boat fanatic. You can see my recently restored 1989 Sleekcraft on this forum. I bought it for 5k last October. It had 260 hours on it and showed like it. It did need a little floor work but it was all there. My boat before this one was a Carlson 18' I had for 15 years. Also a couple jets, a 28' tri-toon I had for about a minute and a Baker outboard.

I think with the motor in it your boat would sell for 6500.-8000. if you did the color sanding on the deck and had it detailed and were in a major metropolitan area like Los Angeles. I can't believe the stuff I've seen selling for 8k or even 5k these days. Nobody seems to want an older classic boat built the way they used to build 'em. This Mojave was a benchmark when it was built. It's still a great boat and a modern day classic. I love it.

Without the motor the average guy's gonna spend another 5k to get it on the water. There are a lot of above average guys that could do it for less in So Cal. That's assuming they know the value and benefit of an older classic like your Mojave. I was trying to get my brother interested in it but he's got some plan about 3 years, debt free blah blah blah bullshit. I'm glad he finally realized the benefit that he's getting close to 50 but I think he needs a boat first, lol.
