This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do but........Due to health caused financial problems, I'm forced to sell my pride and joy - my 1978 18' Southwind Jet. It is in excellent condition and is 100% turnkey all the way. $6000.00
Strong running 460 Ford - new Lunati cam, lifters, springs and keepers 1 season ago followed up shortly with an Edelbrock Tunnel Ram and 2 450 Holley carbs. Added the fiberglass drag scoop last fall.
The Berkley jet has a new manual Place Diverter on it. The pump was rebuilt with new impeller, bearings and seals at the end of last season by Jet Dynamics in Burley, ID.
The hull itself is in very good shape. There are a couple small chips in the finish by the rub rail and a small "spider web" cracking in one spot on the bow (hard to even see). Other then that it shines up very nicely. I'm pretty sure this is the original finish it came with as I've seen another just like it on another member's here on the boards.
The interior is in excellent condition. The person I bought this from had just installed and rewired all new gauges in the dash and I installed a Dual CD player with 2 - 6x9 speakers last summer. Boat comes with a nice matching bimini top. Dual axle trailer pulls great. (Just ask the Nevada State cop who pulled me over doing 89 mph bringing it home from CA when I bought it LOL).
Sorry about these pics, as you can see looking at motor changes, some aren't real currant - will get some more currant, better ones hopefully by tonight.
Need this sold fast before the bank decides time is up so I'm only asking $6000.00 for it which I feel is very fair price. PM me and I'll try to answer any questions you have. May deliver part way if fuel is paid for. Thanks!
