Short of pre/between race prep or ultimate TLC, solids (once broken in) don't need to be adjusted "all the time" or you've got some other problems going on. As far as adjusting goes, it's quick and simple once you take the time to learn how... lots of info from builders, racers and valve gear manufacturers just a web search away. it's too late once you've broken your valve gear, munched a piston and trashed a cylinder...
Learn first or prepare to spend lots of bucks and kick yourself later.
FWIW, "doing it right" in most cases is highly subjective, otherwise there wouldn't be so many builders, equipment options and arguments in that regard.
