Default WTB 19' pickle fork/or tunnel hull jet

Want to see whats out there [TUNNEL HULLS]. Looking for a bad ass boat CLEAN and FAST [haul ass fast 80+ min)!!! Would like to get a boat from a fellow jet boater that has put it together right. All the right parts in all the right places, no corners cut [you get the picture]. So anybody looking to get rid of one of their toys, send me a PM...

not interested in gullwings anymore. Just pickle forks or tunnel jets.....

I GUESS THAT ALL DEPENDS ON your idea OF HAUL ASS FAST? My idea of haul ass fast is a LEGIT 100 plus mph OFF THE BOTTLE.You are not getting that WITH an engine gor 13k. Plus with a hyd cam.

I think if your idea of HAUL ASS fast is a LEGIT 75 - 80 mph ,,,,, thats a forsure deal at 13k with a hyd cam.

The reason I want a hydraulic cam is so I dont have to deal with adjusting valves all the time because I will be on the water A LOT. But like I said if its the right boat and has a solid cam, so be it. And as far as speed goes, the faster the better. I want at least an honest 80+ boat. Not a boat that needs perfect conditions to do it.

thanks for the advice. Pump gas. I would like a back seat for sure [have to let my kids ride with me and tube once in a while] but i am more into getting out and being a speed demon, and i would like a lighter lay up just for speed purposes [no such thing as too fast]. I have been into or had ski boats all my life but now im doing the jet boat thing. So i figure speed and rooster tails will be my new hobby. Seen alot of nice boats done up well and right in the past year [beautiful boats at great prices]. I would have bought several boats but i didnt have the cash on hand. Now im ready.

If you expect to go "haul ass fast" and abuse the hardware on a regular basis, expect to do regular TLC, inspection and maintenance, checking/adjusting valves is part of that... high performance hydraulic valve trains included.

Short of pre/between race prep or ultimate TLC, solids (once broken in) don't need to be adjusted "all the time" or you've got some other problems going on. As far as adjusting goes, it's quick and simple once you take the time to learn how... lots of info from builders, racers and valve gear manufacturers just a web search away. it's too late once you've broken your valve gear, munched a piston and trashed a cylinder...
Learn first or prepare to spend lots of bucks and kick yourself later.

FWIW, "doing it right" in most cases is highly subjective, otherwise there wouldn't be so many builders, equipment options and arguments in that regard.

I agree with you but have seen some gorgeous pickle forks with some nice back seats. Maybe not a lot of room or even comfortable but at least they are there to haul a couple of people around. Thanks for your input I appreciate it and I look for more.
