SOLD
I never though that I would be getting rid of this boat since it has been a perfect boat for me. Well, two days ago I found out that a boat that I fell in love with 45 years ago has finally come up for sale and since I am not getting any younger I decided to pull the trigger on it. I will post pictures and a build thread on it after I get the deal sewn up.
Lots of you have seen my Rayson before so I will post a few pictures and hope for the best. I will be selling it without the engine and transmission a I will need those for the new project. I have re done everything in this boat and it is in great shape. Just add a motor and off you go. It has a brand new trailer under it built by Scott Kornowski who also did the Gell coat and glass work on the boat. I'm asking $30K and if someone wants to save a few grand I can switch out trailers and I still have the trailer that I re did along with the boat originally. I will apologize if any pictures are upside down but lately they sometimes come up wrong and I can't fix 'em, sorry again...
Someday I will get smart enough to figure out how to turn those damn pictures right side up. I really don't understand why it is happening. Thanks for fixing these for me)THumbsUp Now, as for owning too many boats, ya just can't own to many at all. At least that is what I've been telling my wife all these years...:shhh::wink2:
I want to say Steve that I know what your getting and I understand the motivation..with that said this is a beautiful boat and they are very hard to find...especially done. Most you find would be an old race boat that has seen many abusive miles..these boats are tanks..mine weighed 1100 lbs bare. And to drive one puts you in v-drive heaven...just ask Paul Fitzgerald or Dave Rankin or GN7...or Tony Applegate..to me they are THE boat for a lake cruiser that won't leave your spleen on the floor...
His price is more than fair considering what I sold mine for...I know what the trailer cost...lol
Thanks for the compliments Mike. Lets hope that someone will come along and buy this one and enjoy it as much as I have. There isn't a chance in hell that I would sell this one if the mystery project didn't come along. Thanks again, see ya at the races...
Jeb, if it was only that easy. The pictures are right side up in my computer and they don't go upside down every time, just when they feel like it...bit
Still for sale. Included is a $1,600 towing cover with the soft inner liner and waterproof Sunbrella outer cover built by Custom Canvas and a $300 Custom Work Cover built by Jan Miller. I also have a choice of trailers one of which is a brand new custom built trailer done by Scott Kornowski or a trailer that I totally re-built with new axles, bearings, fenders, bunks, wiring, lights, jack, coupler etc. If you want the second trailer the boat price will be $4,000 less.
So, I guess that I'm not alone.hand Looks like the new project is going to come to a halt pretty soon if this boat doesn't sell. Anyone interested in a 22' Schiada I/O? Hadn't planed on selling it, but something needs to go.:wink2:
Just something to think about...this boat can handle four seats easily..we all set them up like race boats...we are old and we wanna be cool..so we build them like racers..
So don't limit your mind when looking at this boat..especially when you are showing the wife...(never have got that one)...but seriously you can shove the motor back in the thing and have a killer 88-90 mph lake hot rod..with 700-800 HP that rides like the carpet those dune guys ride...
you would need to put a shorter steering post in it also...
Thanks Mike for thinking out of the box. I guess that is one of the reasons that you can sell your boats and I don't seem to have that same magic touch. Maybe some of it will rub off on me. I'm thinking of putting the Schiada up for sale at Needles too. I really wanted to keep it for when the kids show up but the "banker" "suggested" that I sell something if I wanted to keep on working on the new Wood Decker so, I've got some decisions to make pretty soon...
You probably won't feel that way after you get that damn payment book...:duh::wink2: Enjoy...artyguy:
