Thanks for all the great comments on my v-drive. Yes Ray I will be coming to next BOTE, I plan on bringing Bob along if he wants too. This boat has been a labor of love and alot of time and money. I had hoped to get it done and get it out there last month but it just didn't happen!!! I have been busy I sold my 26 Checkmate and the wife and I just bought a 35' Fountain. To give you guys some info on the boat, it is a 1985 Bitz I bought the boat in 1993 and it has sat tucked away in my garage since then, I sold my gullwing jet boat last year and decided it was time to rebuild it. Everything on the boat was replaced with new parts nothing was reused, I sold the injected alcohol motor and had a new motor built by Al Lombardo in Conn. The motor is a 540/1100hp with a ton of torque, The paint job turned out beyond my wildest dreams, it was done by Mark Brown Studios up here in Maryland, he is one fine artist!!!!! The only remaining work to complete are a couple of hoses, mount ny tanks down and rebuild the v-drive and YES install a whirlaway kit!!
