Someone has pics of 'Bass Cop' and his hotel, they were posted here or on Hot Boat.
That was BOTE year ONE...simply the best time. Finally meeting the faces that put the whole deal together was great, Tons of laughs...no Circus/Big-Tent-feast could EVER touch that.
I distinctly remember myself, Jetmeck, Stan and at that time I was dating Jennifer....we were the first to arrive at Bass Cop Motel, it was raining so fricking hard Bass Cop's parking lot was under 2" of water. We were on the 2'nd floor balcony drinking and laughing/saying "ain't no one going to show".
Next morning we woke to not one but TWO motels FULL of bad ass Hot-Rod boats and thought to ourselves > Whhoooooo WTF I think we have something here!
Even the locals got wind something big was buzzing in the air and what they were about to see that 4-day weekend > > > NEVER HAPPENED PRIOR AT THAT LAKE...EVER!

I was just reviewing some VSH video (thanks to Mr. Down) . I believe it is from 2002...BassCop is mentioned.

    I seen HOTROD taped up.

I seen WIDEOPEN and (i believe it to be) his 'flexi flyer'

    I seen "Mr. Casual"

Fat Rat is there, looking very young and willing.

Wet is in there, grilling some sausages

    I seen 'Big Dan'

    I seen Henry's turbine boat

Mention of Dimarko Kid seems to ring a bell too.

and lots of other things that might bring back some memories to those who attended.

Earlier in the tape are detailed instructions as to how to go to Harve and maybe some pics of Rancocas Creek...there is mention of 'King of the Crick' by the excellent author and narrator of this tape...i think this is king is Walt. Dont know.

as far as i know this was the 'Birth' or very early childhood of the BOTE.

Might be worth putting up some clips should i get permission.

    Otherwise it is NOYFB.

The first year was without a doubt the best!! I remember the first night. I felt like I was at a really cool car show, but there were all boats lined up in the parking lot. To bad they turned that place into condos About a month ago I found a CD that Tim did (syncd to music)and played it. Great memories
