We have the Sidney Poker run in June as well . Turn out dwindled a bit mostly due to high fuel prices last year.I'm afraid the gas price is s going back up by summer. Oil is way down , reserves were full . They blame the present high price on refinery maintenance. There's always some BS going on
Hydroplane racing will be back in Kelowna [ go figure about muffler laws] this summer. The problem is it falls on the same weekend as the Harrison run.I think the Harrison venue needs to move ahead of the Kelowna one.

Trigger, you can come along with me going through Porlier to Sidney. We usually leave the day before and dock at my friend's place at Maple Bay running down to Sidney in the morning for the run.

Move the Harrison run... there is always lots to see & do during the summer here in BC, can't do everything.
The hydroplane races will be "demonstrational" only. Only 3 or 4 teams are expected to attend.
There is a poker run on Lake Chelan in WA
Marine Toys attends all the Poker Runs.

MIRAGE thanks for the invite I might have to take you up on that, depending on what happens this spring.Being in the Marine business I am waiting to see how the season will do with the economy slow down.I also just found out the boat might be sold.If that happens I will be building a nother one(a little faster one this time) witch probably will take most of the year. I like the picture thats exactly what i'm looking forward to.John at Superboat once said to me 4 footers @ 80mph and you wont even spill your beer.we will see.
Seen some other videos of your Mirage the one were you do a drive by what does it top out at ?

This is what I usually get

My best to date is 76 on GPS with one person and half a tank .Could do a little better with smaller props, but I like the midrange economy with the 26P Bravo 1's.One day a whipple or procharger maybe in order . Boat did 85 with carbed 383 S/C's .

Cool boat.... looks clean.I kinda allways wondered how much power is needed to move those boats. The one my customer has is a single 502 and I think it tops out around 58-60 on a stock gauge with just me in it. Regardless always has been my favorite make/design.they have that cool old-school look.I used to have the 202trovare.I wonder if anybody will resurect the name and build them again.

here is a vid of the new one, 72 gps with 2 people,1/2tank all stock 496.

    perhaps you want to upgrade.

    Thumbs up

TH , love the Y2K boats , especially the one I saw with black hull sides. Problem for me to upgrade to yours is I'd have to replace the 496 with a ZZ572 720HP to hang with my buddy on his 35 Fountain 600 SC's .Nice video
    BTW.
