End of Summer Get-together

Thinking about a last outing before old man winter hits. Oct. 15th at Belews Creek, N.C. (close to the Stokesdale area)
Pretty easy trip from most areas and the water stays pretty warm from the power plant. May end the day with a cookout in the area on Sat. nite. Anyone interested in going??? Post up!! Will post more info later on location of ramps, etc.....

Belews Lake

Belews Lake, a Duke Power facility, is located mostly in Stokes County but does extend into Forsyth, Rockingham, and a small portion of Stokesdale (Guilford County.) The lake was completed in 1973 and has a surface area of 3,863 acres and approximately 88 miles of shoreline. There are two public boat landings that provide access to the lake. Click here to view a map of Belews Lake. The Piney Bluff access area is located on Highway 65 just outside of the Stokesdale Town Limits. The Pine Hall boat landing is in Stokes County off of Pine Hall Road. Carolina Marina and Humphries Ridge Campground are two privately operated businesses located on Belews Lake that provide boating access for the lake. Carolina Marina is located off of Ellisboro Road and Humphries Ridge is located off of Oak Level Church Road. Ok, had several calls saying the weekend of the 22nd is the best. Will plan on that Saturday. Will keep a eye on the weather and make a decision the Wed before the 22nd and post a go or no. If weather is not going to be good we will try for the next Sat. Hopefully one or the other will work out. Everyone is welcome to come and bring along some boater friends if you would like. There are several motels in the area, if everyone wants to spend Sat nite before going back we will see about finding one. (Thanks for the info on the lake Tim....get that hydro running and bring it on!) And also Nate....tell the crowd down your way to bring it on up for some fun....
