FOX Sports Sun has extended its broadcasting agreement with P1 SuperStock and P1 AquaX, bringing high performance powerboat and PWC racing action to national TV screens for an additional two years.
Under the new deal, Fox Sports Sun will broadcast the entire 24-race P1 AquaX Pro Tour and the 20-race P1 SuperStock USA series from May through to November. Other FOX Sports regional networks will also be permitted to broadcast the P1 AquaX programs, providing a near national coverage and a 60 million household reach.
“We are delighted to continue airing a double bill of powerboat and jet-ski action from P1,” said Tim Ivy, vice president of marketing and programming at FOX Sports Sun. “The high quality production together with the high octane action provides a great show for our audiences”
FOX Sports Sun has extended its broadcast deal with Powerboat P1 for a further two years.
Powerboat P1 programs are now broadcast in more than 100 countries that includes deals with FOX Sports Europe, Africa and Asia.
Through a combination of higher audiences, improved global distribution and an increased number of races, P1’s international broadcast value over the last three years has more than quadrupled, according to evaluation company Repucom.
“We have seen significant growth in our broadcast coverage, both with our linear channel partners like FOX Sports and our own digital channels,” said P1 SuperStock chief executive James Durbin. “Our broadcast partners, led by FOX Sports in the USA, are integral to our success and we are delighted to continue our relationship.”
