Registration has now opened for the all-new Can-Am Poker Run, to be held on the August 5 to 7 weekend in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Headquartered at the Delta Sault Ste. Marie Waterfront Hotel, the all-new event kicks off with a boat show on the Friday, with live entertainment that evening. The poker run kicks off at 10:30 am on Saturday morning, following a scenic route around St. Joseph’s Island with stops in Richard’s Landing, Hilton Beach, Thessalon and Drummond before returning to Sault Ste. Marie. “After the poker run on Sunday there will be a display of powerboats in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, giving people a great opportunity to see these incredible boats up close,” said Poker Runs America president, Bill Taylor. “This will be a great opportunity to see some of the world’s largest and most powerful performance boats, from 40 feet to 55 feet powered by engines from 900 to over 3,000 horsepower.”
PRA’s new Can-Am Poker Run will dominate the Sault Ste. Marie waterfront from August 5 to 7 inclusive.
Taylor says the event represents a unique opportunity for performance boaters to enjoy one of North America’s most unique aquatic environments. “Sault Ste. Marie and the area around it is stunningly beautiful,” said Taylor. “It’s also the friendliest border crossing in the world. Every day residents of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, pass back and forth between these great twin cities that straddle the St. Mary’s River, so access couldn’t be easier.”
