The guy I bought mine from said he was right at a tad over $3000 all said and done.

    $2300-ish for the base kit
$125 for the O2 sensor bung (one)
$350 for custom metallic powdercoating (red)
+tax on all of that and then $200 for shipping.

We actually encountered $300 shipping to get them from PA to here.

I was hoping to pay less than I did, but I still got a bargain at $2100-shipped. He THREW IN an almost-new F.A.S.T. air/fuel data-logging monitor and the wide-band O2 sensor (still in the header). That's basically $300 by itself.

You are 100% right! You CAN take a regular big-block set and adapt the water temp sensors and make your own oil filter relocation bracketry - but you will be money ahead just getting the right kit for the right motor. Adapting and fabricating usually ends up in more $, as well as time spent.

One thing I know, that you will probably see in the instructions; you use the threaded adapter that the water hose clamps to at each inlet from the factory manifolds. You'll see what I mean, but he told me that little tidbit over the phone. He said it is otherwise straight-forward install.

I assume you got the O2 sensor bung? one or two?

I did see that threaded water fitting in the pic and thought to my self???? I think it is going to be way more hassel f*cking with trying to make something work that was not built for your motor!!! And then I just did it. But I'm sure that it will be better in the long, run and much easyer, and cleaner. Oh I only got one O2 sensor for the reason is that I have a Whipple and all of the fuel goes through the blower. So If one injector misses I will know because the whole motor will go lean equaly. Not just one side or the other like stock. I cant wieght to see what #'s I will get with the supercharger??? I will not know untill next year because winter has allready started for me in the northwest. IT WAS LIKE 52 TODAY for the high I'm hopeing for a good soild 2 maybe 3 mph??? What do you think. Hear is a pic of the set up now. I think that I will be ok with the prop that I have now due to the fact that I have to trim high to get the rpm's up there. Less trim more push! to get to 5450!

I would say 2-3 mph should be pretty close. Figure 1 for now and then 2 or three will be a bonus!

Yeah, really only one O2 sensor needed. Just curious if you splurged for 2.
