    Default Trying Turbos

I've been wanting to do a power upgrade to my Hallett 240. Last year I upgraded the outdrive and steering with Imco SC drive, stand off & full steering. I came across a Gentry Turbo system that I thought would fit better than a blower so here it is.

I traded a 671 blower set up with carbs + $1,500. I think I got a fair deal but it has taken some time to fit everything. The kit came off a V-drive so some new mounts had to be fab'd. Bought some used Stellings tail pipes and adapted them to the turbos.

What's the low down on the whole engine build? What do you expect to get out of it compared to what you were getting before?

It's just a 502 with J&E 8.75 to 1 pistons, Hydraulic roller cam, Merlin heads & Inconel exhaust valves. 575 HP w/850 Holley. I freshend it up to get it ready for the turbos. I want to keep it low boost to run pump gas but will have to see where I'm at boost wise. The boat did 75mph as it was.

Jason, do you know what size motor this set up came off of? How much boost it made?
