Default I got thinkin bout Berryessa

and a couple of pretty good memories came to mind. With all the doom and gloom, how bout we share some memories about days on the lake and the funny stuff that goes along.

One weekend a couple years ago, they are doing a Hot Boat delio at the lake.
Delta Rat and I decide to go, 707DOG meets us up there on a friday night and made the mistake of pointing at his ice chest and saying its full boys, have at it. Well, we where on the cooler like a pack of wolves and pretty much drained it in a couple of hours. Dog goes to get a beer and says "hey what happened to all the freaking beer?" "buuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrppppppppp, we drank it" That Friday night ended about 3:30 Saturday morning.

About 7:30, some jack ass with V drive and a 4 foot tall motor decided to fire it up in the parking lot, so much for getting any sleep.

I will let Delta Rat finish off what happened Saturday.

If my memory serves me right DOGs ice chest was not the only one to get emptied that night, just the first. I will never forget the look on 707s face when he woke up in his Denali, it was a look of confusion and disbelieve as he peered out of the window and started to surveyed the campsite looking at the destruction from the night before.

I have never and I mean NEVER been so hung over that I could not even stomach the thought of putting my boat in the water. I new I was in bad shape when I threw up while brushing my teeth….lol. Watching the boats that were floating in the water was making me sea sick…lol. If I remember right we ended up BBQing lunch on the boat BBQ while it was still on the trailer next to the campsite…lol. Now I wont go into a great long story here but Norm can fill in the blanks if he would like…..but I did see the funniest thing I have ever witnessed that day.

My brother and a few of his friends used to rent a house boat for a long weekend. So needless to say he invited us up for the weekend, he told me not to worry about bringing any booze(misstake #1) he told me to bring Todd if I wanted to(misstake #2) we ended up drinking most of there booze before we started drinking our booze. The next year they invited us back but told us to bring our own booze!!!!!!!

    Default Putah Creek Resort

We had a place at PCR ( till the man kicked us out). I remember the hot boat get togethers at the camp site on the launch ramp. Boy, you guys had fun!!! I now know I'd seen several of you prior to "lunchin' on the delta", at the Pope Creek Bridge. Oh what a party.

That was some good shit wasn't it....

Funniest part of that trip was when I got pissed at the ass puppet who got drilled in the head with the frying pan and thru him out of his own campsite...

His friends were all laughing at him as he was packing his shit to leave... "Dude can he do that? You heard him, shut the phuck up and leave!!"

lol I am laughing just thinking about it...lol

I can clearly remeber him looking at me going "dude, they are my ride what am I supossed to do?".....Start walking I am sure they will catch up to you tomorrow on their way home..Bye Bye.ROTFLMAO

Man I am really going to miss those weekends at PCR

Hey, that whole weekend is still pretty fuzzy, and was like 6-7 years ago, but Terry didnt we catch that phuc stick stealing beer out of our cooler Friday night?

Funniest thing I have ever seen was Karen smacking him in the back of the head with that frying pan, and it wasnt even her pan. She borrowed it from the chick that was taking it like a champ. Couple of things got phucked up that weekend besides us. That pan was useless and I would have to say that Dogs moms friend would need some surgery to tighten that thing back up.

can anyone shed some light on the group site/camping at Pleasure Cove? I've never been but from what I've read on the net, the reports weren't all that favorable....broken glass all over the campsites, less than desirable people, rude employees, etc.

If you are refering to the total rebuild thing up there, some bad news came out this week. It seems that the bidding process for the resorts has to start all over. The contracts presented by the BOR were illegal as the BOR was offering reimbursement for capital improvements which it turns out is not something our gov't allows the BOR to do. According to the Napa Valley Register, the BOR hopes now to have the lake running like normal by 2010. For right now, there are only the free launch, Markley Cove, Pleasure Cove, and Steele Park open. Aside from the free launch, the other 3 resorts will be closed by mid May. I guess the BOR hopes that the 3 resorts will accept extentions to remain open for the season, but who knows.

I have so many stories from up there I don't even know where to start. I started going w/ my dad shortly after I was born, & now I take my son. My father went w/ his dad as a teenager as well. All of the crap up there is just heartbreaking. I guess the tree huggers win, and Berryessa will be a quiet place this summer. We'll see!!!
