Where to go on Delta ?

Take a look at a Delta Map.
From B&W, head east up the Mokelumne River. Very soon it will fork, North and South, take the North fork. That is very good area to wake board and tube. Not much traffic. The South fork goes to Tower Park, lots of dock space and food and a bar. Straight north from Tower Park is Potato Slew. It goes to Whimpy's. If you keep Staton Island on your left side, it will take you all the way back to Whimpy's. Just a few feet past Whimpy's, take a left through a narrow "No Wake" passage, it comes out at Guisti's. It is at the North end of Staten Island. Guistis Restaurant, a geat place to stop for lunch and beverage. A favotire of the DLB. Heading west, leaving Guisti's, Staton Island is on your left (south), you are on North Mokelumne River and it will take you back to B&W.
I suggest you buy a large, plastic coated Delta map and keep it in the boat. Most Marinas have them. I enjoy getting lost on occantion so I can see things I have never seen. Mount Diablo is in the west and the radio towers are in the east. Have fun. Al

I agree. Buy a delta map and make sure to have a lot of fuel and cel phone just in case. I too, enjoy exploring these water ways and discovering new spots to chill or eat. Besides Lake Tahoe, the Delta is hard to beat when it comes to cruising and boating. Cheers!!

Your right on with using Diablo as a reference point. For years our group of friends has refered to Diablo as the " PORTAGEE COMPASS ". No offense intended.

Using Diablo also dates us long time Delta goers

Most people are scared of the Delta,I tell them to go out and get lost .Make getting lost the point of going.Once you get over the fear,the DELTA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
