I couldnt agree more, this has and always will be for fun and should not be used to make money.I know what it cost to make shirts, someone made some cash!!!! I'm not against making money but not with someone else's logo. If I did a Smooth as Glass/DLB shirt,I would give them away as advertisement. My .02

To all the DLB'rs... I havent been on here in a bit dealing with too much work and such, but I am the person that got involved in this fiasco which I thought was just bringing good people together. There were alot of people asking about t-shirts (myself included) I called a few DLB people and asked what I could do to get something going. They said go for it, theres no Board or Council that had to ok anything and all i did was facilitate it. Knowing Steve at DUYA could bring together projects quickly I asked him to take it on. His "DuYa" idea is just a simple one that asks a question? DO YOU...... do anything? Im the one that came up with "Duya lunch with the delta bunch" -thinking it sounded kinda hip or cool or what ever, but it was not in trying to get the DUYA name or logo or anything like that connected to the DLB. it was a simple saying....
Nobody had any ill intent... in trying to infringe on copyrighted logos, trying to incorporate DLB with anybody else, trying to step on anyones toes or even making money off of this, I asked for the best Steve had to offer, that cost money, I asked him to have it done in 4 days, that cost money. We didnt have any artwork to work from, so that cost money again. we had to start from scratch, all over again. And NOBODY got rich off this meager 50 shirt deal. I'll buy the beer the next time we get together, cause thats about what I made for my troubles to get these shirts to ya'll.
So Im sorry for the DUYA thing, Im sorry if ya'll dont like it, and Im sorry for getting involved with the entire t-shirt thing at all.
Im most sorry to Steve because he had nothing to do with this and it is being played out here that he was behind trying to get HIS LOGO in front of DLB without permission and that was my fault not his. So I apologize for getting him involved with any of this.
I like my DuYa DLB t-shirt and and sweatshirt and I will wear them proudly because I DO DLB!
Paul
Still nothing to say about Steve, or PTC. For myself, I was suprised about the DUYA, and just letting my problems known. Still bought the shirt, and would again. Proudly diplay my alliance to the DLB. I'll just try not to get wine or oil on it this time.

Good to hear the explaination. Nice to know the facts. Sounds like people just trying to make it happen. Good intensions. Sometimes it just goes the wrong way. The worst it can do is effect sales. Some of us won't want the new look. Probably no harm in the verbage. It isn't derogatory to the DLB. So my opinion is no harm, no foul.![]()
Hey 707DOG. I need a couple more of those big fit style shirts you had last time. Oh yea.... Can you deliver them to Fremont again? And can you have the old "Any Weather is Boating Weather" thingy on it again above the logo? That was kinda cool.
Hey PTC... don"t think to deep into it. Words typed on the internet are not always as they seem or to be taken seriously all the time. Hell, my nephew is a hot 19 year old girl on damn internet.![]()
does anyone have the original logo and how many shirts would need to be made and what cost would that be??? any help here, thanks..
Thank you for the explanation. As I said before I have no ill feelings for you and those involved with the shirts and appreciate the effort to make it happen. I have done shirts for various events and there is always issues. Looks like you had a short time frame and made some decisions that appear to be inconsisitant with the DLB and shirts made in the past. Not a big deal. Nobody is looking for a "hanging". Just a interest to keep our little unorganized group of friends humble, simple, and keep the focus on fun.
I have never met you or Steve but would prefer to buy you a frosty beverage. I did get this started and with the DLB's blessing would like to consider this issue addressed, answered, and concluded.
Can we go boating now?

"Equity at its Best"
When I had the t-shirts made for NorCal Hot Boats, I use Larry Zubrick out of BullHead City, Az. Zubrick@ctaz.com. Cost was under $6 each with quality Haines shirts.
But if Steve and PTC are are in the t-shirt business, why not let them keep going with what the majority wants?
To all the DLB members.
I honestly apologise for any harm done to the DLB group. This was NOT in any way designed to make money off of your logo.
I was asked to do a service for your group, and I had simply followed the instructions (TO A TEE) from a customer. From the art work to the order of the clothing.
I did cut the cost down for putting our trade marked name of DUYA on the shirts. We had felt that we were not infringing on your logo, We had thought that by putting DUYA lunch with the delta bunch, May raise the question from other people not involved with your group, That No I haven't but maybe I should, Or at the very least maybe I'll check them out. Just maybe they would think that this group is really cool and may want to join.
Any way, I do apologise and this will never happen again.
Sincerely..... Steven Best owner of DUYA custom Tee's.
