Serious dirt bIke accident!

Our oldest Brad was invloved in a serious accident yesterday at Hollister Hills. Destroyed his knee and severed the artery. 5+ hours of surgery last night to graph in a new artery out of his good leg. So far it is working and looks like he will keep the leg. Very scary. We could use some good luck. Not trying bring everyone down on Mothers Day but thought a few would want to know. Hug your kids!

I'm sorry to hear about the serious injury to your son. I hope only the best for him and his recovery. Just hang in there and be strong for him!

So how are you and Momma handling it? Probably feel worse than the kid. Nobody likes seeing things happen to thier own kids. Best wishes on the recovery.

I am sorry your boy wrecked up there. I am always concerned about that when i am there. I spend atleast one weekend every month there from Oct. to April, if not twice a month. Our prayers go out to him, and your family!!

Thanks for all the kind words. It has been tough on us. We are scared. Trying to be strong for our boy but he is smart and think he sees though it. Just got word, he also has poison oak.

Blood flow to leg is good. IV out. Catheter out. On solid food. Washed hair. Brushed teeth. He is beat but holding. Could be home by Friday.

The not so good part. 3+ months in leg brace, then the ligament surgeries begin.

Long road but he is strong. Thank you everyone. Your words mean more than you know.

CTI knee braces work excellent once he is rehabilitated. Custom built from a mold they pull off your knee/leg. Made of carbon fiber and they have a plastic knee cap protector for motocross applications.

A lot of insurances will cover them also..........
