That's an old used car lot trick to clean the crankcase before a car is put up for sale.
The single biggest reason you want to get it out as soon as you can is that there are things in ATF that are not friendly to engine seals. Not knowing the year of the car/engine, I would change the oil at the first opportune time. Later year engine seals are a little better, but none are made to deal with ATF. Type "F" seems to be less harmfull to seals, and DEXTRON IV being the worse to earlier engine seals.Originally Posted by DEL51

One of oil change places around here learned we were using an "engine flush" and told us not to bring the trucks in any more if we continued to use it. Engine flush is getting harder and harder to find in auto stores just for that reason. All "Gunk 5 Minute Engine Flush" is is diesel with that is made a little less volitile so it can be stored on the shelf.

Now I do, Rebooted with base software last friday. Windows inserted 9 version of explorer without my knowledge. I got on to the forum and reply with quotes was the only option I could see. Bob, I am not the best on these things as it is. Could you do me a Favor? My Nephew posted one of my dyno runs on youtube. I would like to post it here. Printed out instructions from this site ,etc, but did not have the time.

Well, I assume you found that vid. That was the only one posted that I took with clear focus on the dyno screen. The engine ran quite well. 580 chev with 2.3x1.8 dart heads. Goodwin cnc'd the chambers. Same basic Blower motor longblock. No cam change, 270 with 700 net lift. Made 1070 on blower and 1350 on turbo's with 29 deg blower and 26 deg turbo. Pump 93 and 10% ethanol, widely used up here. Same Boost, 12-13 ish. Post the vid Bob, if you can clean it up. My voice aint on there.
