    Default Del51 twin turbo dyno

Del 51 asked me to post this for him. I assume he will give the details on the engine. Looks to be a pretty stout piece for a pump gas deal.
Really beginnnig to dislike turbos alot

Thanks for posting this vid. The engine made 1350 on pump gas with a timing set at 26 deg, 12- 13 lbs of boost.Previos version was gas blower at 12- 14 lbs and 1070 HP. It made 1650 HP on C-16 with 18-16.7 lbs pounds of boost.Timing was at 32 deg. In This vid, I backed the timing down to 30 deg and lost an easy 120 hp.29 deg was the sweet spot on the blower version. Experimentation. When I say 18- 16.7 boost, the boost dropped as rpm climbed up. I purchased an AMS 500 controller and a small Co2 bottle to control. On the Dyno we used an external air source, shop compressor, and regulated the air to the top side of the gates. Powerband was very broad, 15-1600hp from 55-7k. The engine is a conventional headed, cnc dart. Ported by goodwinn, nothing special.Low compression at 7.8 to 1. Single plane dart 4150 base, with C&S 900 duel needle and seat. Enderle cam drivin pump 80A.5 off the jesel. DEL.

I was wondering what ever came of this deal. Thats badazz Chris, way to go. What kind of boat & drive is this going in? That looks like the same intercooler I'm using. What Turbos were you using and what cid?

Thanks. The video was taken at 30 deg timing. Peaks were around 1530 TQ and HP. 32 Deg timing made 1650 torque and HP.On pump gas and 12-13 lbs with 26 deg, it made 1350 hp and tq. I didn't want anymore power. This Block does not have the provision for a sixth head bolt and I am using cometic gaskets. When I get this version freshened, I will modify or upgrade the Block. It should last awhile as is, it did not seem to be working as hard as when it had the 1471 littlefield and a 200 shot of nitrous. The Hull: Its a 1979 centurion picklefork tunnel,600lbs. Dominator pump by mpd and the same impeller that infomaniac has.We flipped the hull, called B-1 racing then reshaped the keel. I also purchased a pop off. The intake is a berk 4 degree. Recieved my 1350 U joint H bar coupling today. Hope to test next month. I have some photos to post up when I get some time.
