For all of you guys out there that buy tons of spark plugs. Where do you get them. And also I'm running an NGK 4554 right now is that a pretty good plug on a mild blown alky deal or would something else be more desirable?

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance...Baffle them with bullshit"
There is no such piece as a "mild blown alcohol" engine.....I use a 9 for a heat range on my alky motor

9 being a little cooler than the 8 I'm running now? I say mild in a fairly loose sense of the word only in the 1150 range on HP and I know that's only scratching the surface of this fuel. Not a max effort setup by any means
yes the 9 is colder....is your plug showing heat? I have noticed that some people new to methanol will run a fat engine and put a hotter plug in it

I use (sparkplug.com)
FYI -- I was at O`rileys auto parts store two weekends ago and I`d thought I`ll ask if they have the ones I run. the lady says no buy we can get them. I said no thanks I buy them online and their around $1.00 a piece when I buy 100 not $3.79 like yours. she says we`ll price match two days later and a two mile drive and a little over $100.00 bucks my box of spark plugs were there...
I never thought to see if Jegs or Summit carries plugs before. Before Steve Sharp told me about sparkplug.com I would just go Clay Smiths and buy however many I needed.... $100.00 bucks dont buy you that many when your paying retail... Also with my new motor deal it seems like I`m going thru a crap load these days when it isn`t blowing a head gasket....
Thanks for the info on the ngk site 1.89 a plug and free shipping if I buy 4 or more sets that's way better than 3 bucks a plug here local
I see the problem I was having with the site. It doesn't tell you that the price goes down with QUANTITY. Its pretty significant too!
may have to reconsider where I get my plugs. I had been pay right at 2.00 a plug for 100pcs.
They sell 100pcs for 1.75.
I knew about the site but the per piece price never seemed all that great. Now I see why. Thanks.
