    Default Spark Plugs

1981 400 hp stock Mercruiser Motors in an old Scarab. Converting the ignition from points to Hei, need to know what plugs to buy. Not at the boat will have to get them before I go do the job.

Really need to either know what plugs are in it now, or know the head casting number.

The plug can be long reach, extended tip, peanut, gasketed... Really too many variables to take a WAG and have it be reliable.

Hope you get if figured out.

What does Mercury recommend and what's in there now?
