I agree with GN7 about the reality of the springs life. Nothing compares to the brutality of running it hard. 20-25 passes on the springs or 75-80 passes still yielded about 210 on the seat, on the previous sets, of the same part number spring. Did I test this set of springs before the engine sat? No. But, I do attribute the loss due to the span of time at rest. As you can tell, I dont back off my springs, nor do I think it is necesary. Maybe the Raymac had a different cal. spring at the time. Maybe maybe maybe. Engle proved my point in a previous post. BTW, Pontiac came back from MAG. NFG. Cracked #2 and #4 main up to the cam tunnel. Bearings looked brand new after 80 passes. Bummer
