It won't smoke next year. We just tolerated it because we didn't want to pull the head off. It was an attention getter and conversation topic. Plus I could tell it had started from the out ramp.

I wonder if the thread starter Hotbo still has the same opinion.

Ron It's gotta smoke !!!! Just wouldn't be the same watching it run without the smoke. If nothing else at least make it smoke at the Cove Race, the fans really dig it

The power of cars on the open market that are manufactured for consumer sale are woefully low powered compared to a multitude of race specific cars. Just consider the power of a fuel funny or dragster.

EDIT: the Staturn 5 has the shuttle covered pretty well. At least as well as a good V drive over a jet.
saturn V by a bunch. i've taken the ksc tour a couple times. if you've never been, needs to be on the bucket list. the saturn V exhibit at kennedy space center will blow you away. there's a bunch of stuff to see at ksc, but you could spend a whole day just at the saturn V exhibit.

I wonder if that video was shot in Poway Ca. back in the day. General Dynamics has a test range out there and the landscape in the area looks very much like that.

What did you find Ron? Was it a lifted valve seal and a head flooded with oil?
