460 port matching
looking for some experience with port matching c9 460 heads to a weiand 5993 tr. Trying to decide which gaskets to use. 1.98 X2.26,gasket seems to get pretty narrow around the tr. Or the 2.24 X 2.60 but then I have to take alot out of the head. just wondering how others have done this.
The Weiand tunnel ram's runners and the C9VE intake ports are both of the passenger car size.
If you prefer to use the SCJ intake manifold gasket for perimeter clearance, it does not necessarily mean that you must enlarge the T/R & head runners to that size, they may remain passenger car size. My advice? Trim the passenger car gasket to clear on both the C9 and the T/R.

thanks Paul. After having a closer look at the scj gaskets against the heads,I think there too big.I'll go with your advice. These t/r's seem to be a poor fit at the runners towards the front.The sealing surface is going to be narrow.
