around 5k. nice thing about aluminum is you can resleeve/rebuild it infinately. put a window in the side of it, you can weld it back up. it'll be the last block you have to buy unless you have some catastrophic damage to the main webbing.

I have been involved in quite a few big inch motors but none on pump gas, my advice, go as big as stroke and bore as you can, as you already know there isnt going to be much that is GM on this and the price difference of a 4.75" stroke to a 4" isnt much just plan on havin to make everything fit. Good Luck and hope you get it

Like I posted before, ya might want to check out the Donovan for sale on offshoreonly. 700ci, dry sump, jesel valve train ect ect... I know nothing about the motor or seller, but was thinking it would get you to 1000hp NA.

I kinda remember asking around for a 450hp combo as a youngster and built it. That engine lived. So I decided to build a 500hp combo for a friend a couple years later. Hit the mark. Started trying different things on the dyno. A couple more years went by and built one for another buddy. 591hp. 10years later, I build them for money. This dude went right to the top. 1000 hp on pump gas? Holly shit. I dont know anyone that is asking for a 1000hp combo that has not already made 980hp. Look down my friend, yes those are REALLY huge balls. BTW, how did the other motor you were involved with turn out. 980hp? Good to see you other BSers from the other site. Really

I'm with GN7 on this deal. There will be a full field of BFF's sitting on the holding rope before this ever happens. I allways thought the Clintons were the biggest joke to come from Arkansas till this pipedream popped up.
