My last blower set up had MT valve covers, with rubber grommet O rings for 3/8 inch threaded elbow ( -6) fittings to push through. From there it was 3/8 inch hard line to the puke tank. I was not pushing alot or if any boost with this set up.
The next build will be with an intercooled 8/71 and plan on some boost. So my question is I would like to keep the puke tank, But will the 3/8" lines be enough for volume effieciency, since I see most set ups with -10 or -12 hoses from valve covers to the tank.
My thoughts are with the hard lines possibley rerouting them to maybe the upper portion of the back side of valve covers to keep a low profile, giving me the option of utilizing an engine cover with cut out for the blower. V drive set up, so the puke tank is mounted on the back side of the motor, front side of the boat.
Thank you for thoughts and expeirence suggestions. Brian
