Do the math on the Wix racing filter at 61 microns....it does flow 28 gpm though.

Are you talking about "time tested" back when it was a real filter?

I think he is just talking about the dual filter unit in general vs the actual filters on it :

Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

There is always this one. It sends all the oil thru the filters in series! Perfect for running Fram PH8As
    No pressure drop with that!.

First of all, I'd like to say THANK you for this thread.......

I was only able to get through the first 8 pages before I got lost in the discussion....so here's my question. What is the outcome of the best filter for the money? I'm running a wix (Napa) oil filter on my BBF using the Valvoline VR-1 20w-50 oil. Should I stick with the Wix or move onto something better? My BBF only turns about 5,200 RPM at WOT.

    Thanks!!

I know it's not exactly related to the oil filter comparison at the top of this thread, but I think the data and analysis in this Toyota Tacoma/Toyota Tundra oil filter comparison might be interesting to boat owners anyways. There are lots of photos, some hard data, and some interesting info on general oil filter design.

Oil Filter Comparison - Tundra OEM Filter vs Fram vs Wix
Tacoma Oil Filter Comparison - Tacoma OEM Filter vs Fram vs Wix

I realize it was created by a Toyota dealer, but it seems like they tried to be unbiased.

    Anyways, I liked it.
