    Default Used Dynos

Well, I'm bored and trying to figure out if I want to buy a dyno or sell all this shit and enjoy life.
    SO...
There are used SF901's all over the place. I ran one daily 15 years ago and it was a good piece. We occasionally had servo sticking issues, but that was due to water contamination. Not a servo issue. Now, it is no current piece. It won't find 1/4 hp but I don't give 2 hoots in hell about this. Ours seemed to be pretty repeatable. This is important!
How are parts sources? Still out there or obsolete after this time?
    Others recommended?
You can buy 901's for 15 to 20k all day long with pumps, fans, etc.

My main objective is to throw engines I build on it. Run it, tune it, and throw it out the door. Customers are to damn dumb to let them work on their stuff now days. (seems like half are anyway)

"or sell all this shit and enjoy life."

I went to Motorcycles. Cheap thrills that take little space. No dyno required.

1 comment. Hell, you guys comment on stuff you don't have a clue about. HAHA
I have a Screamin Eagle Fat Boy. I really only take it out to go to bars and poker runs. I dig Harley chics with big tits.
I will most likely keep all engine stuff until I quit racing. You know how it is to have someone else do your work. You mostly get let down.

I guess I do. I don't do it for a living anymore. Still have and use all the equipment. Just hate dealing with anyone who walks in the door, so it is just to support my racing mainly.

Ahhh gotcha yeah deffinatly nice to have the stuff to do it all yourself. Especially when using stock blocks its like a grand to get one ready to use anymore.

Roger that. Hell, if you use billet caps (like Pro Gram or a good cap) you will spend more than that. It just isn't worth it anymore.
2000 for a dart is high, but it is a wash between that and spending over 1k and still having a stock block. I finally gave up on them.

I enjoy some things about boat racing. Like everyone else, my time is a premium.
I really like most of the people. I like the competition. I like new and different challenges. I take the actual racing much less seriously now days. It is more fun that way.
    I want a dyno. HAHA

What are you going to do with a 901. The thing can't even handle a stock 4.8 LS with a couple of turbos. I don't want to read: "Stone stock 4.8 with turbos,.... couldn't break the motor and it destroyed my dyno!!"

Well, and upgraded 901 will handle 1500 or 1800 ft. lbs of torque. WTF do I need anything bigger. I ain't building jet boat engines. ROFL

    ^^

    Wow.....

    Good price.

I wonder what the up-grade costs to handle 1,500 lbs ft?

Might cost more than the $10k.

You know Jon, I thought of you when I saw this a few days ago. You and I have always talked about doing this. I think this would go perfect in your Dad's new shop!
