About LinkBacksCame across some procomp heads fully assembled today. Bbf, 2.19-1.88, look good. Anyone run these? They want 1000.00 for the pair. Junk or good for the money??

junk...anything procomp is junk.
well except the offroad suspension stuff thats been around for awhile.

Isn't the offroad stuff a completely differenat company?
To the OP, most around here feel as Futs does. Personally, I wouldn't run them because of what I consider unethical business practices, but that's just me. Based on what you read on bigger sites than PB, some have had OK luck with them and a BUNCH have had miserable luck. You'll probably be better off in the long run with a better know US brand like AFR, Brodix, Dart, etc... Good luck!!

Save up your money and buy a good set of heads! You will be way better off! I do know that it's hard to come across good deals on FORD parts!

Find a good alum head pick the good one up in one hand and the pro comp one in the other and make the decision for yoursel! An assembled pc head weighs less than a bare brodix!
If they were for a Chevy I would be all over them. There are a couple competitors I would like to buy a little some thing for Christmas. Those would be perfect.

Yes. Pro Comp (suspension)is the name of a company. Pro Comp U.S.A. to be more precise.
2 words Capitol P capitol C followed by 3 very distictive letters.
Procomp Electronics, 1 word, small c followed by a word that tells you not to be buying heads and cranks from them. On top of the fact that the stuff is Chinese, which is getting harder to avoid, but Procomp Electronics is a Australian company. Does any of us need to be buying stuff made in China, and sold by a forgiegn company. The only "america" involved is the warehousing. Whoopee!
On top of that fact, the stuff sucks as bad as the owner.

Ya figured as much... Heads felt really light as in thin castings. LO , valves were close to that size. Not sure exact but somewhere near that. I'm a chevy guy so not familiar with ford., yetthanks guys for input.. I'll pass and keep looking

I am running a set on a 10-1 500 incher. Flat tappet hydrolic cam etc... I have been running it for over 5 seasons with no problems. However... if you look at the intake rocker stud boss on these heads they are about 4 threads thick. There is no hump in the port for extra support. The roof of the ports are really thin adding to lack of strength as well. I have heard through a friend of mine that they recently tore the roof off the port on the dyno just running the motor in. Flow numbers on them are pretty damn good however. Besides they are from Australia!

Your mistaken, the Procomps are from china and are pure junk. The ones from Australia are the Pro Top Lines and are a good head. I have a set that I ran for several yrs without any issues.
