Check out this thread and a few others by our resident head whore, uh, er, I mean head porting guru Steelcomp. He's done a great job with these articles. Just do a quick search to see more of his and others very informative threads too.

Not a Patriot nor Pro-Fraud (ProJunk / Procomp) fan.
Brodix IK180 or 200's are good deals for lower $$ good aftmkt aluminum heads.
Next jump in price and totally well worth the $$ if you can part with it is the AFR 195's.
i have a bare set in my garage. if i absolutely hated you, i would still feel bad giving them too you. they are complete piles of shit!!!!!!!!
the casting is crazy soft, the machine work from patriot is a freakin mess, the rocker studs are even machined at different angles than they should be, which caused a bunch of broken studs, rockers, etc. and they have big nasty cracks in the ports. i broke down because of them, every time i went out with them. i put about 34 hrs on them and had them off and on several times. and yes i tried a couple different sets, each was jacked up in its own special way. complete garbage.
we went rounds with patriot over these things, and always got shit for answers, and not a G D bit of help. just as soon as you get someone to listen, they either quite, got fired, or just mysteriously didnt work for patriot anymore. if they were closer, id throw them through the company presidents window.
i still have them in the garage, just so some day soon, i can do a final video/write up on them
one funny thing though, they did flow pretty good, and when the were not breaking all the time, they made some decent power.
It's the man running the machine that determines the quality of the finished product.

The problem with Obama jokes is that his worshippers don't think they are funny, and the rest of us don't think they are jokes
the machine work was a train wreck on the patriot heads for sure. but it was only part of the problem. they were super soft castings. also had some very thin areas in the ports, which resulted in cracks.
i suppose if the things were cast with quality material, and machined properly, and the design was changed a bit, they would be ok. but if that were the case, they would not be patriot heads.
