Just trying to get some thoughts about adding octane booster to the gas tanks. What are your opinions on this. I am currently running 10.8 compression. Not all lakes have premium gas.

I have heard that brands like 104 and others don't add but around .02 to octane level! So 93 at the pump with a can added would be like 93.02 so it's your call! Chris Straub had a thread on some booster that was new and it did boost the octane quite a bit but had a price too!
SOMEONE SAID YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU! SO,IM BURNING IT UP ONE GALLON AT A TIME!

Using an octane booster to raise the octane of gas thats less than 91-93 is nutty. If its for an emergency, fine. But if you boat were premium isn't readily available, then think about hauling it, or lower you compression. Seriously. Adding octane booster to 87 octane is insane.
This is the ONLY octane booster I know that works. It works because it contains 60 grams of TEL.

Just order some vp red or equilivant, mix gallon into rest of tank. Way better for motor and your sanity
Yep, gn7 is correct yet again; the Kemco Oil stuff really works, I use 1/2 to 1 oz per gallon (in different engines).
It contains 60g of tetraethel lead per gallon.

I've always wondered about this octane boost 130..my question is does it burn clean or kind of sooty? I have 12:1 and wonder if this stuff would end up being better for my motor rather than avgas..to get to 100 octane you need to add 3 oz. per gallon to premium fuel..I think that works out to almost the same price as avgas...thanks

Anybody try or have thoughts on Torco Accelerator?

LINK 130 Supreme
Second best stuff.
It is good stuff. Not up to Supreme 130, but you can't use S130 with cat convertors or O2 sensors, and you can with the Torco. Torco use to have another additive that was NOT for cat/O2 use, but they stopped selling it. Now they only sell the "street legal" stuff.![]()

I think Torco had one with lead and one without. They dropped the leaded stuff. I called them directly trying to buy out any inventory they had or that they might have called back into house from the retailers. 'twas a no-go.
Nice to know about the Sup 130...anyone remembner the Moroso stuff back in the day? $10 a gallon, when lead was lead.

If you need 100 octane do you think avgas is better to run on a regular basis rather than mixing this Octane Supreme 130 with premium unleaded? Or would you just use this Octane Supreme 130 say if your out on the lake and need to fill up and can only get regular or premium unleaded fuel?
