Not too many "hot boats" at Deep Creek Lake. The DNR do not like jet boats at all. There are a few, but very few. The lake also has a rule not allowing boats over 26 feet.
Deep Creek lake is a fun place to visit, with bars and resturants on the the lake all having docks to use. Mostly ski boats and pontoon boaters fill this lake. Ane the water is ice cold all year long.
Cheat Lake is nice also. It is not as big as Deep Creek Lake, but there are a few jet boats that run there regularly.
Raystown lake may be a good lake for you depending on what size boat you have. It is a big lake and gets busy on weekends. Little jet boats may not do so well on big weekends. There are alot of big "hot boats" at Raystown. Find Party Cove and you will see big powered cats and v's.
Thanks for the help
Raystown is not a bad pull from my local. I heard they don't like noise around the docks but what the hey. Do you think a 21' Daytona would handle the water there OK?
Sounds good. I am also planning a trip to lake Cumberland? at the end of the summer. Friend of mine does the sound system for a big party the weekend after Labor day. I heard it rocks.
I have vacationed on Deep Creek for the past 2 summers.. We love it.. As far as Hot Boats,, I haven't seen many,, Maybe 1 cat and at most a couple of 26 FT Baja.. We cruise a Rinker 232 and it seems to be one of the larger style boats out there..
Compared to Lake Hopatcong it is quite and calm any day of the week,, the water is colder then Hopatcong but thats what wet suits are for..
I have wanted to try Lake Anna.. Smith Mountain lake even Rayston lake sound cool but all are a bet to far of a tow for a family vacation boating..
Welcome to the boards challenger3x2. Maybe we will see you on Raystown or Deep Creek. I'm told my boat won't be too welcome at Deep Creek but we might come down with the jet ski's.
