Here are some random photos, and comments.
Trailering home, I noticed the 21 got 12.5mpg, without the motor, while the 19 got 14.5 loaded. The boat rides MUCH nicer with a tandem trailer.
I got a shop, 30x60 and I'm loving the space.

Very nice space bill, and it appears to be headed too!
Am I the only one left with his junk outside
Post some pics of the greyhounds!
That rub rail 'could' have been reused.
I simply drilled out all the pop rivets and it easily left the hull in 3 sections never bending or distorting the aluminum...I'm sure the rubber insert is available too.
Must be nice to have two boats!![]()
Please put your junk inside Hammer. Thanks
If For Some Reason I Do Something Worthy Of Recognition. God Provided The Ability And Deserves The Credit.
QE 439 Twin Turbo
The rail was pretty beat up all over the front, and it was silver in th back at the waterline, and gold up front. The rubber turned to plastic.
No photos of the greyhounds.
Garage is heated.![]()
Here's what I have after playing around the shop.
The pumps are out of the boats. The engine is ready to leave the Hallett, and the MSD is ready to be sent to MSD.
I started sanding down some of tha areas theat needed attention. Like I mentioned in another thread, there were screws protruding from the sponson. This is the right sponson, inside.
So, a little grinding uncovered this lousy attempt at repair. This is right sponson, the outside lifting surface. No biggie, I'm remembering my bodywork days.
Here, you get the idea of location.
Sanding dust really shows the stress cracks. This is the left sponson.
This is the left sponson crack. Some grinding revealed a soft spot. The resin never made it to the cloth, and was delaminating.
There are two theories to the damage...
One, someone bypassed the trailer and attempted to land the boat into the back of a truck with the tailgate open.
Two, someone turned the truck way too sharp, and the left sponson got the pinch against the bed. Nothing that can't be fixed. But my GF is going to get very familiar with the inside space of the sponsons and glass work.![]()
Good Luck with the new ride!!!
Give me your evacuation set up and I will weld AN fittings on them so you don't run those plastic tubes.
T.J.
Just keep building the glass over the hole.
