Hi,im new to this jet boat gig and have all of my boat ready to go..I have a fresh big block ready to go..I need to do all my cooling lines.I have read alot about how to keep the ticker cool..what is the best rout.bypass thermo kit and press valve. The motor is not stock but by no means a rocker..any help would be great..I will post some pics soon..I took a boat that sat 15 years in a garage and worked on it most of the winter and with all the info on here and a sh.. load of cash have a nice looking rig....
btw...I have a cap for where the water neck would go on the intake that I will be selling soon. The holes did not line up to clear my intercooler lines, so I will be selling it for what I paid for it.
For most, I would say that is just fine.
Some people (myself included) do a T fitting after the gate valve with an adjustable pressure valve to dump if the pressure gets too high.
Before you go crazy though...put a pressure gauge on it (you can get them super cheap at harbor freight) and see what you are running. If your pressure is fine and your temp is fine...why over engineer it?
