Time Out/Admin?

To Whom it May Concern:

I have been having a horrible problem with the time out settings on this forum it logs me off to quickly how do I lengthen it?

In addition, everytime I write anything of substance and I go to preview the material I lose it as soon as I re-log back on to the site.

I am extremely frustrated and have resorted now to just copying everything I write to prevent the loss of the material.

Your anticipated assistance is requested.

P.S. Please do not post a video that plays automatically everytime you move around the site or try and post a response the video starts playing. It seems prudent to allow the viewer to click the start button.

its happening to me also, kinda why i don't post here much, just read.

Regarding the login issues here, our timeout is set to 15 minutes. If you are seeing time outs happen faster than that it is likely a cookie problem. The most common causes of cookie problems are privacy options set too high, but it could also be because of an overactive firewall. I will make a video really quickly showing how to properly set your privacy setting in both internet explorer and fire fox. I only have IE7, so if you are using an older version you will have to do the best you can.

Regarding the video, i will make it so you have to click to play.

Kap, let me know if you need help changing the cookie and privacy settings in IE 6+
