Wanted: New bedroom set.
I'm tired of looking at these shady furniture stores. Where's a good place to look at some new furniture or who has a hookup? Nothing wild, just new and not from the 80's would be nice LOL.
Thanks!

I'm going to catch a beating, but I would recommend furniture4me.com !! I know there was a bad deal recently but I know Mikey the owner and he is a great guy. I don't know what the real story was behind the recent thread, but I would check him out. As a lesson learned by seeing someone go through hell I would make sure delivery date is set in stone.
Tell him ~NORD~ sent ya!
In the interest of not adding more drama, I am editing my thread response.
Mathis bros is a huge store with everything from high end to low end but they only deliver within 50 miles I think. Purchasing online has some advantages also because depending on where you purchase and or have it delivered then you may not have to pay sales tax.

For the best prices your not going to beat furniture4me.com. As far as the rest.. I'd use him, but it's regrettable that both Mikey and Lavey29 are in their perspective situations.
If you want to buy the stuff and take it home or have it same day, then there's lots of places.. Where in socal?

x3 on liveing spaces..real big one in rancho cucamonga 15 freeway north i think foothill offramp its about 2 offramps north of the 10 you can see it on the right..i think theres another in sante fe springs
If you're in socal check out the z gallery in Long Beach off of pine. Upstairs is their scratch and dent stuff. We bought our bedroom set there for 1/2 what it costs in the stores.
If your missing a piece of a set buy what they have and slip the guy up stairs a 20 and leave him your number for when one comes in.
I bought a couch from living spaces about 6 months ago. Nice couch, good price. Got them to throw in the 5 year no questions warranty. Its not top of the line, but so far everyone has liked them.
Ashley is another good place. Again not top of line, but decent stuff at good prices.

I ordered mine from Costco online. Great furniture, great service. A couple of pieces came scratched...I only expected them to send out a repair guy...they sent new pieces. They usually have a different bedroom set on sale every month.
I don't know squat about CA but when I moved back to TX, we went to a large Dept Store Chain's warehouse (Foley's) and bought a Stearn's and Foster mattress/box springs that were surplus and last years models for about 70% off. Also got leather living room set made in Italy and top of the line quality for about 50% of the new season's stuff in store. Everything has held up great.
One thing I know about furniture is never pay retail or anything above 50% or so. But you need to shop it. Seems like with the economy this should be "primetime" for deals.
