I don't get it

How could this have happened? Ordered some parts and they shipped. They started out in Tennessee (bottom entry) then to Kentucky, and made it all the way to Phoenix (where I live and their final destination). Then rather than be delivered to me, went all the way back to Arkansas, then Kentucky, and now are headed back this way AGAIN. Supposed to be here today. Maybe they'll make one more lap??????

No f*&%^$#g wonder it cost so much to ship stuff.

i feel ya man, i've been waiting on a intake and ignition system from canada for 3wks its bounced all over canada, made its way to michigan and from michigan it went to n.york, n.y. to florida and its been just sitting there in florida for days it was mailed thru the canadian post service, wtf that is. 500 in parts i've already paid for are just cruising around america and canada

UPS SUCKS!!!.. I was tracking a shipment of sanding goodies. Watched it get on the truck in Mesa, it's came from the mid west. Any way it's on the truck headed to me. WTF watch the truck go by, this was on a Friday. Called the company I bought it from on Monday, asked them if they had any info. He said "I sure do,it's sitting in front of me. Um why is it sitting in front of you when it was on the truck 3 days ago. " Looks like a BIG COFFEE stain right over your address". UPS could not read the address so they shipped it back.
Whe it was reshipped I tracked it and sat at the door the day it was to be dropped off. Dick Head comes to the door with the box. I said what no Focking Coffee today!!!! AssHole!!!

Probably logical scans. UPS's system is too smart for it's own good sometimes. All those scans are not physical scans. If a package gets scanned into a container then you've got a physical departure scan. When the container gets to it's destination the packages don't get scanned at unload. The system does a logical scan because it should be in that container. But what happens if the package got scanned in that container but got put in another one. Well you get what happened above. Overall a very good job is done but the place is not run anywhere like it used to.

That's just stupid unless it was years and years ago. No addresses are read in sorting. Just a routing code. The barcode would have your address information so if the driver scanned it with his handheld he would have been able to figure it out. That's Teamster work for you.

UPS is not really too concerned with there ground shipments. What they care about is EAM's or next day air. If they don't make the deadline they proposed they have to refund the money.

I have seen them order 15K dollar Airplane charters because they screwed up a major customers orders.
