Default Patent Pending Above HIN #

Greg, Above the HIN # on my 1980 19' Daytona is a patent pending label that was part of the mold. Was this common during this period? I have noticed older hulls that do not have the patent pending as part of the mold.

    Default 19 Daytona

During the first days of building the 19 Daytona there was one local mfg. that took the 19 and with a few mods splashed the 19 Daytona in the state of Ca. Bob activally pursued this in the courts using the Ca. Spa laws concerning fiberglass products. Bob won the court case and the mfg. was stopped and later moved out of the state. At that time Bob would put patent pending on all of the 19 Daytona's that were built.I really not sure when he stopped .I know when I aquired the 19 molds I did it with Bob's blessing.
