Sand the bulkhead and spread with a roller or brush or mask and spray, if you spray, why dont you just go with clear gel?...what going on with your bulkhead, is the resin flaking off?
if i can be of any help, my number is...

Todd, it was great talking with you and greatfully helping me out and talking with me on the phone. Here are some pics of the progress with it so far in the project. The only question is that i put the fiberglass matting on the back side of the bulkhead and not on the front. Is that going to be strong enough? I sealed it with resin on the front.

As per our conversation earlier, i like to glass both sides with like a 1.5oz. cloth, just so that it is sealed real good and edges ground just before the install, i see alot of manufacturers just resin coat the bulkheads, wich im sure is fine, but i figure if the wood is out,...why not glass it?
Todds right, glass both sides with cloth. I made mine with 1/2 plywood, and did just that. You can't even see the mat once wetted with resin.
What do you think Todd I have two sticks on top and three on the bottom?
Frank, you gots skillsDid you copy the bulk head from the old one? Will it be ready for the 1st race?
Takin it home
Well here are pics of it glassed in. Finished it early this morning.
It doesn't look pretty, but its was my first one. Kuddo's to the guy's that do this for a living, because this was a B*tch.
