Question, my 1983 21' Daytona was manufactured without any wood in the transom...why would Eliminator have done this? cost, keep it light, someone forgot and it was quiting time on a friday?
Just glass something like 3/16" thick/
Thanks.

Hammerdown, you're not alone. My 1980 19'-6" Eliminator Sprint has no transom wood either. The glass that's there is a little over 1/4" thick. Of course this whole hull is very light weight and it's very easy to flex the deck.
Hammer,As long as I can remember we never used wood in the transom unless it was an outboard or an IO. I'm not saying that there are not Daytona's with wood in the transom but it Bob's practice to build them without the wood unless it was requested. All of the So Cal 's 19 that we are building now have no wood in the transom. With the vertical transom and the configuration of the tunnel there is really no reason for the wood in a jet boat installation.
My 2001 daytona has wood in the transom. thats why its fast.
I have a question, what happens when you make a pass with no loader?
