Need Help..Eliminator 19 Daytona or ?

Just purchased this 19ft Tunnel out of PA. Title says ita a 1997 Eliminator 19ft but the vin on the hull says CFZ9264SA700. On my Fountain and TX19 the last 2 digits are the year of the boat. I was told by the previous owner this boat came from CA and was set up by Greg Shoemaker. Previous owner purchased the boat out of Toledo Ohio from a guy who does jet pumps. Any help on identification would be greatly appreciated. Boat is clean and looks great and with a little luck it will be running next weekend ! Will post a few pics asap

Not sure of the boat with that vin. All of the Daytona's started ELB or ELBB ending with the year it was built.

My old 79 Eliminator started with CFZ, It is a daytona no worries. I'm betting there is no HIN molded into the boat? Is it a riveted plate?

Not to alarm you but unless all of the installation was taken out of older boat this is not a 1997. Russell tanks have not been built in over 25years. The rail kit was made by D and C engineering and they have been out of business for atleast 25 years. Not sure who's intake it is but it is not an MPD or a PPP intake. Could be an Alpha or Super Jet and again these companies have been out of business for atleast 25years.

Thanks for the replies guys the HIN # is molded in the hull not a plate. Was hoping a previous owner might pop up with some info....never know. Thanks !

The "CFZ" HIN indicates "California Homemade". If this was built as a race-only hull, it would not have required a manufacturer's HIN number when laid-up. If an owner ever decided to register it for use and acquire registration numbers, the DMV would have issued the "CFZ" HIN. In this case it indicates that California DMV issued that number, apparently in 1997. For what it's worth this applies to all 50 states plus Washington D.C., Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The first two state ID letters followed by a "Z", indicate that the HIN was issued by that state for a hull that had no other ID number.

i have a TPR that was a race only boat...had no numbers in it...i had to go to game and fish in arizona (thats where we register boats), they did an inspection of the boat to make sure it didnt have any numbers, then made me fill out a piece of paper with the info about the boat...i got to write down the year myself...i was honest and put 2004, maybe this guy fudged a little on the year...oh and my first 3 letters are AZZ
