    Question Hydro / Floor restro

Dear greg I recently purchased a 73 hondo shovel nose hondo the floors in it are solid but they don't have that high luster finish. I'm going to e going through the entire boat and the paint is set, so next comes the floors before I'm really able to start mocking up and so forth. I wanting to redo the floors and would know where to start. What to do, procedure, materials, etc. Anything you can offer up would be greatly appriciate. The floor right now is what is holding me so this isn't a bs post whats said here will hopefully get me going. Thank you, kyle

    Default hydro

Kyle, I looked at the pictures and I think you have some other issues before you start on the floor. How much power are you planning to run. Are you going to change the strut location? V drive location? Strut angle ,Engine placement. All of these factors have to be looked at before you start on the floors. These old hydro's are real old school and a lot of improvements can be made by moving some of these area's around.

I'll be honest greg you tell me where to put it. The engine is going to be a hampton blown 512. Solid driveline with mid to high fifty gears. If you want I can also measure and tell you where they are placed now. I want to do it right so it is a very respectable boat. Thanks kyle
